I have a MAC: OS X, version 10.8.3. After following all the trouble shooting advice online and uninstalling my old version of the player, I now have a perplexing problem. When I install the player, which the installer of course says installs successfully, it shows up in my Finder as a device which of course won't run, instead of an application.
Additionally, when I go to the Adobe troubleshooting page to see if the download was successful, it doesn't even show up as being installed on my machine at all! I'm all out of ideas and I've done all the trouble shooting steps recommended on the Adobe website for MAC users.
Anybody got any suggestions or ideas. Your help is greatly appreciated.
